aziz

The word Aziz means “Dear” in Arabic. It is also my grandfather’s name, a person with whom I shared my love for Arabic type and the Arabic scripts. This font, being my first Arabic type design project completed during my studies at AUB, was dedicated to him.

Aziz is a Naskh-based display typeface. It’s high contrast and thick baseline make it suitable for headers, titles, posters and other big-scale applications.
